How To Add 'Start Date'

Introduction

The Start Date in GLOWSIMS marks the beginning of the system’s financial and operational tracking. This date represents when the organization officially starts using the software for managing accounts and other processes.

Setting the Start Date is mandatory for the following reasons:

  • It is the foundation for managing and tracking accounts.
  • The Summary feature can only display financial details once the Start Date is set.
  • Cash & Bank Accounts cannot be added until the Start Date is defined.
  • The Opening Balances for all Chart of Account heads (Assets, Liabilities, Income, Expenses) are based on this date.
  • Security Balances for students and employees will also be registered effective from this date.

By setting the Start Date, all financial and operational records in GLOWSIMS align with the organization’s operational timeline.

To Add

  1. Go to Settings from side bar menu
  2. "Type" required info in a "Search Box"  at the Top Right Corner
  3. Click on "Start Date"  option


     
  4. Add "Start Date"
  5. Click on Save Button
