How To Connect Bio Matric Device with GLOW Attendance Software?
There are two methods to connect device
Items Required:
- Biometric Device + Power Cable
- Network Cable
Connection Methods:
1. Via Modem
- Connect the Device Power Cable.
- Connect the Network Cable to the device and modem.
- Connect the modem to your PC via Cable or Wi-Fi.
- Open CMD as Administrator.
- Type “ipconfig” and press Enter.
- Note down the IPV4 Address:
- If connected via Wi-Fi, look for the LAN Adapter Wi-Fi IPV4.
- If connected via Cable, look for the Ethernet IPV4 (e.g., 192.168.10.11).
2. Via Ethernet (Direct to PC)
- Connect the Device Power Cable.
- Connect the Network Cable between the device and your PC/Laptop.
- Open Network & Internet Settings and click Change Adapter Settings.
- For Ethernet, right-click and select Properties.
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click the Properties button.
- Check “Use the Following IP Address”.
- In the IP Address field, type “192.168.1.11”, and press the Tab button.
- Click OK to save the settings and close.
Final Steps to Connect Using GLOW Attendance Software
- Open the GLOW Attendance software.
- Navigate to the Add Terminal Settings.
- Type the IP Address:
- Ensure the first three numbers match the IPV4 Address noted earlier, but change the last digit to a number above 200 or 300 (for safety).
- Example:
- If your IPV4 is 192.168.10.11, type 192.168.10.201 in the software.
- If it is 192.168.1.11, type 192.168.1.201.
- Ensure the Biometric Device IP Address and Port Number match those in the GLOW Attendance software.
- Click the Connect button to finalize.
NOTE: Always ensure the device and software IP addresses are configured correctly to avoid connection issues.
